The Survey System currently offers three ways to embed audio or video in Web
pages. You can embed Windows Media Player, Apple QuickTime, or IBM's
HotMedia.
Most PC users have Windows Media Player on their PCs. Apple's QuickTime is
another popular video player, but fewer people have it than Media Player. In
either case, if a respondent does not have it, they will be asked if they want to
download it from Microsoft or Apple.
If you do not want to count on your respondents having either of these players,
you can use HotMedia. HotMedia has the advantage of using Java, instead of a
plug-in, so it will work on almost all PCs.
You will see examples of both Media Player and HotMedia, unless you check
one of the choices below.
